FuelEd Summer School Solution Offers Credit Recovery, Original Credit Courses and Flexible Enrollment Options
HERNDON, Va., February 24, 2015—Personalized learning solutions provider Fuel Education™ today announced that enrollment is now open for school districts that want to provide students opportunities to catch up through online credit recovery, or get ahead through online original credit courses this summer.
Fuel Education (FuelEd™)’s proven summer school solution has enabled school districts like Oregon-based North Clackamas Schools to achieve record enrollment in their summer program, with 83 percent of its students successfully earning credits. Last year, the district offered students a wide variety of original credit and credit recovery courses, with instruction from highly-qualified, certified FuelEd teachers, in a lab model where district teachers provided students additional support.
The FuelEd Summer School solution provides districts the curriculum, technology, and support they need to enable their students to catch up, get ahead, explore languages, or complete electives over the summer. FuelEd’s Summer School solution provides districts the option to:
· Offer 19 credit recovery courses, more than 170 original credit core courses for middle school and high school students, including electives and world languages;
· Provide summer programs in online or blended environments;
· Manage enrollments and track student progress through the PEAK™ Personalized Learning Platform; and
· Use FuelEd’s highly qualified, certified teachers, or have FuelEd train district teachers in the most successful methods of online instruction.
Further, schools and districts can take advantage of an alternative enrollment option. With the FuelEd Summer School Family Purchase Program, FuelEd manages enrollments with students and their families directly, enabling districts to offer courses at no cost to the school or district.
FuelEd offers a variety of courses for online summer school. Students in grades 6–12 can choose from more than 170 original credit courses, including 14 AP® courses, more than 50 career-building electives, and world language courses through Middlebury Interactive Languages™. In addition, FuelEd credit recovery courses are designed for students in grades 9–12 who did not pass a course initially but learned enough to make a complete repetition of the course unnecessary. Most credit recovery courses include English Language Learner support.
