English Language Learners (ELL) Program Support
Our online ELL program gives every student a passport to grasping our language so they can flourish in our culture.
Give your students command of English
A growing segment
English language learners (ELL) are the fastest growing population in U.S. schools. Projections are that nearly one in four public school students will be an English language learner by 2025, according the U.S. Department of Education. Online and blended learning is an affordable option to help English language learners so they learn more effectively and reach better outcomes.
Fuel Education’s English language learner (ELL) program helps students grasp the complexities of our language and culture through:
Learning activities that connect to the student’s prior experiences
Complex thinking and challenging activities
Language and literacy development
Observation and modeling
- Instructional conversation
Supplemental, project-based instruction
The supplemental blended instructional curriculum developed by our partner, Middlebury Interactive Languages, allows students in grades 4–8 to learn the fundamentals of academic English while completing projects that relate to English language arts, social studies, mathematics, and science.
The ELL curriculum is written by PhD-level academics and language education experts working with Middlebury Interactive to help students accelerate their English language learning. It features age-appropriate themes specifically designed to engage elementary and middle school students.
The focus is on academic English; critical thinking; vocabulary building; and developing communication skills through listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Teachers can track student progress and generate detailed, data-rich reports through the PEAK platform.
